Advanced Eye Serum Support, Made Practical
SeroLube gives veterinary teams ready-to-dispense, blood serum-based ocular surface support without a patient blood draw, in-clinic processing, or manual transfer required with traditional autologous eye serum.
Designed for companion and large animal practices, SeroLube helps make a proven therapeutic approach more accessible, consistent, and clinic-friendly.
A Proven Therapy for Ocular Surface Support
Serum contains tear-like biologic components, including proteins, proteinase inhibitors, vitamins, growth factors, and protective mediators that help support epithelial health, surface hydration, corneal comfort, and the natural healing environment of the ocular surface. By contributing to the biologic conditions associated with repair and recovery, these components make serum-based support especially relevant when the ocular surface is stressed, inflamed, compromised, or healing.
Because eye serum can be used alongside other ophthalmic therapies under veterinary direction, it remains a practical support option for cases where the ocular surface is stressed, compromised, or recovering from injury.
Removing the Friction from Eye Serum Preparation
Traditional autologous eye serum preparation requires a patient blood draw, centrifugation and clotting time, serum transfer into a dropper or aliquot, labeling, and client instruction before the product can be sent home.
For busy practices, that process can create meaningful friction: added restraint and handling for the patient, additional staff time, exam-room utilization, and variability from one preparation to the next.
The result is a therapy many veterinarians recognize as valuable, but may not consistently offer because the preparation process is time-consuming and difficult to standardize.
Ready-to-Dispense for Veterinary Practices
SeroLube is a frozen, donor-derived plasma serum packaged in a ready-to-dispense dropper for veterinary ocular surface support.
It is designed to help veterinary teams deliver serum-based support without collecting blood from the patient or preparing serum in the clinic. Each dropper provides a standardized format that can be stored in the clinic freezer and dispensed when needed under the direction of a veterinarian.
SeroLube brings the clinical value of eye serum into a more consistent, practical, and scalable format for everyday veterinary use.
Common Clinical Applications
- Corneal ulcers
- Indolent ulcers
- Corneal trauma or injury
- KCS / dry eye support
- Allergic conjunctivitis and inflammatory ocular surface conditions
- Post-operative ocular care
- Non-ulcerative keratitis
- Cases where additional lubrication and ocular surface support are desired
SeroLube should be used under the direction of a veterinarian as part of an appropriate treatment plan.
From In-Clinic Preparation to
Ready-to-Dispense Support
Traditional preparation can require multiple steps before the client leaves the clinic: blood draw, restraint and handling, centrifugation and clotting, serum transfer and labeling, and instructions for home use.
With SeroLube, practices can keep frozen inventory on hand and dispense a professional-quality dropper when serum-based ocular surface support is appropriate.
The difference is a simpler, more repeatable workflow that reduces preparation burden while helping teams provide timely patient care.
Replace 30-50 minutes of in-clinic preparation with ready-to-dispense frozen eye serum.
A Standardized Format for Veterinary Teams
- SeroLube is manufactured in a cGMP/ISO 13485 certified facility
- 5 mL vials containing 3.5 mL of frozen plasma serum
- 18-month shelf life when stored below 14°F (-10°C)
- Available in 12 unit cases
- Made in the USA
- Vials cleaned before fill
- No mold-release utilized in manufacturing
SeroLube is designed to reduce the variability associated with preparing serum in the clinic. A ready-made format helps create a more consistent dispensing experience for staff, veterinarians, and pet owners.
By eliminating patient-sourced blood collection for serum preparation and reducing manual handling steps, SeroLube supports a cleaner, simpler, and more repeatable process for ocular surface care.
Manufactured in a controlled sterile environment, SeroLube gives practices a professional product format that aligns with the expectations of modern veterinary medicine.
All SeroLube/SeroRepair raw materials are produced by US-based providers with IACUU oversight of AAALAC and OLAW procedures. Donor and manufacturing facilities must also meet ISO 13485 Quality System compliance standards and are inspected biannually.
All donor animals are monitored twice daily by experienced, trained technicians and have been received from qualified vendors that have completed full health examinations for weight, age, gender, etc. Donor animals must be provided with USDA APHIS forms completed.
An Improved Experience for Patients and Teams
SeroLube eliminates the need for a patient blood draw to prepare serum, helping reduce restraint, handling, and discomfort during visits. For anxious, geriatric, small, systemically ill, or difficult-to-handle patients, removing the blood draw step supports a calmer and more efficient eye care experience.
